Sightseeing - Western Market
Declared a historical monument in 1990, this Edwardian-style building is the oldest surviving market building in the city. In 1991, Western Market was renovated and now holds fabric shops that were once located in nearby alleys. There are also arts and crafts outlets and cafes for alfresco dining. The top floor is the Grand Stage, a combined restaurant and ballroom dancing space. The surrounding area has a very historical feel, with past pictures of the neighborhood displayed on the street and a historical tram depot in tact. Open: 10am-7pm.
MTR: Sheung Wan, exit B or C. Walk along the tram rail towards Morrison Street.
