Sightseeing - Ngong Ping

Taking visitors on a 25 minute ride, the newly re-opened cable car takes in breathtaking views of Lantau Island and the South China Sea. At the top of the ride is Ngong Ping themed village, which features a variety of dining, shopping and entertaining outlets. It boasts three major attractions. 'Walking with Buddha' is a multimedia lifelong journey of enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama, the man who became Buddha. The Monkey's Tale Theatre presents a comic show of three monkey friends based on famous Buddhist Jataka Stories. Finally, the Ngong Ping Tea House provides regular demonstrations of traditional Chinese tea ceremonies.
