Sightseeing - Hong Kong Park

Overlooked by the towers of Pacific Place and Admiralty on one side and Central on the other, the convenient Hong Kong Park blends modern design with the natural landscape, while incorporating educational activities. Built in 1991, the park takes up the upper area of the former garrison area known as Victoria Barracks. The grounds feature a list of highlights: hothouse, aviary, tai chi garden, waterfall, lily ponds, playgrounds, restaurant, Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre and Museum of Tea Ware. Don't miss the aviary, designed as a tropical rainforest and home to more than 150 species of birds.

19 Cotton Tree Drive. Open: 6am-11pm. Admission: free. Tel: 2521 5041.

MTR: Admiralty, exit F & C1. Five minutes walk from Admiralty; 10 minutes from Central.
